The Concord Island Leg family conveys a feeling of country tradition with a design that is more complex than it appears at first glance. Using a ratio that averages two-to-one, the upper third of the design consists of a square. Moving down the shaft, the square gives way to a single substantial ring before scrolling in and back out to begin the tapered turning that comprises the primary ornamental feature. Slightly above the point at which the turning terminates is placed another prominent ring followed by a flare that finishes with three less prominent rings. The leg is interrupted by a square in the same dimension as the top square before the legs concludes with a short series of narrowing turns.
