Lessons on Filling Out Applications

Today we had school buses stop by the shop.

A bunch of middle schoolers came to learn how to fill out applications, and they went on a tour of the shop as well.

Since there were so many kids, the conference room wasn’t large enough, so they went and met in the racquetball court.

Dad spoke with them about how to fill out an application, what companies are looking for when they look at the application (or at least what we look for), and tips on how to fill out an application well. Then they get to fill out an application, and it gets graded by our grading system.

Different people in the shop gave the tour, each of them showing the kids their area of expertise. I believe the tour guides included Jason, Denise, Will, my dad Leon, and I believe Ashley has contributed a lot to this as well.
