Wood Craftsman/Lathe Operator/day shift

Requirements:
  • Proficiency with using various computer software such as excel, PowerPoint and the ability to pick up a working knowledge or other software programs easily
  • Problem solving skills with a dedication to finding out why things go wrong instead of just "fixing" the problem.

  • Job includes running a wood turning lathe, various millwork operations and other woodworking activities

Purchasing Agent

Requirements:
  • Some college or prior experience with purchasing.
  • Proficiency with using various computer software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to pick up a working knowledge of other software programs easily.
  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Activities will include but are not limited to:
  • Purchasing the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
  • Preparing purchase orders, soliciting bid proposals, and reviewing requisitions for goods and services.
  • Researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
  • Analyzing price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
  • Monitoring and following applicable laws and regulations.
  • Negotiating, renegotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
  • Monitoring shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
  • Confering with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
  • Evaluating and monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
  • Maintaining and reviewing computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
  • Working with international carriers to determine the best way to move product.
  • Determining if MSDS sheets are required for items being purchased and if they are required verify that they are on file prior to making the purchase. If they are not on file work with the vendor to track them down and add them to the file prior to finilizing the purchase.

Customer Service Technician

  • Proficiency with using various computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to learn customer service software applications.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent command of the English language: Speaking, Reading, Writing.
  • Team Player.
  • CNC Programming knowledge a plus.
  • Wood working experience a plus.

  • Answer phones and respond to customer requests.
  • Product knowledge and familiarity.
  • Provide customers with product and service information.
  • Ability to help customers understand their needs.
  • Sell product and place customer orders in computer system.
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using the computer system.
  • Drafting using CNC programming and 3d Modeling.
  • Create and modify drawings and shapes within AutoCAD.

Shipping Associate

  • Picking and packing shipments.
  • Help with cycle inventory counts.
  • Assist with shipping over 150 packages daily.
  • Ensure that goods going out the door meet the company standards.
  • Daily receive incoming shipments, making sure that all data is entered into the system correctly, and that the goods end up where they need to go.
  • Troubleshooting system errors and communicating with all relevant parties.
  • Checking and verifying shipping records.
  • Assisting with inventory control.
