The Colonial Period of furniture design and creation was between the years 1700-1790. During this period, many of the pieces made were by individual craftsmen using a variety of wood types: a long tradition at Osborne Wood Products. The Colonial End table leg features the knobby structure characteristic of many pieces of this period. Dr. Wallace Nutting (1861-1914) helped bring this historical style to the attention of Americans, inspiring a revival of these earlier designs. While the aristocrats of colonial times imported furniture from England, the less affluent that depended on local craftsman who produced what now is known as the "Colonial" style. In addition to the Colonial End table leg, Osborne Wood Products offers a Colonial dining leg and coffee table leg.
