Bamboo Island Post Half Leg

Our Bamboo Island Post is a classical design that is reminiscent of the Oriental influences displayed in eighteenth century Chippendale pieces or the wonderful early nineteenth century Brighton Pavilion. Our piece offers a symmetrical presentation with the shank of the leg being composed of a round, turned shaft separated into four pieces of equal length separated by five rings that represent the bamboo nodes. At once charming and elegant, the bamboo motif lends itself to work that is stained as well as to lacquered and painted finishes.
