The Sapelo Island Leg family places a balance shaft between two square elements and terminates on a bun. The upper fifth of the leg is composed of a square below which is situated a symmetrical reeded shaft. The reeded shaft uses the same short ring turn at both top and bottom. The lower portion of the shaft returns to a short version of the upper square before terminating in an attractive bun foot. The Sapelo Island Leg design offers an opportunity for traditional presentation minus redundancy.
