The Coventry is a beautiful finial in the style traditionally associated with furniture and molding from the American Colonial era. It is actually an elongated version of the urn finial. Rising from a ringed base, the lower portion of the finial flares out to a ring at the widest point before sloping inward to finish with the diminutive point. The Coventry is a useful finial for topping exposed upper corners of cabinets or for use on the interior of a broken pediment.
