Plain. Unadorned. Simple. Those are the words that usually come to mind when we hear the term Mission style. The truth is that Mission style particularly means uncluttered. Mission style was developed from the sparse furnishings that were contained in the Spanish Missions that dotted the landscape in the Southwest United States. While not completely American in origin, the Mission style of furniture is predominately considered a domestic style. Corbels, in their basic sense, are meant to be supports, but here at Osborne Wood Products, we have seen many occasions where corbels are used as book ends, or as decorative brackets that aren’t really used to support anything. The Carpi Mission Corbel is the smallest mission corbel. Other sizes are available, including the 8013 Milan Mission Corbel and the 8023 Athens Mission Corbel.
