The skirts are made from 5/4 material (1" thick actual) and are 4" tall. The skirts have a tenon and the legs you order are mortised to match. Usually the skirt is set in from the front of the leg 1/4" to 1 1/2", depending on the width of the leg. We have pre-drilled the tennon with a "pocket screw" hole so that the skirt may be drawn into the leg by use of a screw (provided). The skirts also have pocket screw holes for attachment to the table top. There is also a corner block provided for added strength. The picture of the table kit below makes things very easy to understand.
