The Mission Onlay complements the entire mission line at Osborne Wood Products, which includes numerous corbels and posts. This individual piece suggests close ties to the Owls Club Mansion, an elaborate example of Mission Revival architecture in Tucson, Arizona. The architect Louis Sullivan used mission overtones on the facade of this private residence, which imitated the Spanish missions of the Southwest. As with many of the mission styled designs, this piece is distinguished by its simplicity of materials and design. This Mission Onlay exhibits the social virtues of good design and handcraftsmanship of the mission heritage. We at Osborne Wood Products, Inc. are proud to share this simple but rich design.
