Custom Built Antique Dining Table

I just love the timeless beauty of antique tables. There’s something about the delicate details, the color hues, and the design of these unique tables that can both intrigue and mystify you.

Today, I want to showcase an amazing Antique Style Table submitted by Douglas T. of North Carolina.

Starting with some stock products from Osborne Wood Products, Douglas was able to expand on the design by adding his own unique detailing to the table.

Douglas took advantage of Osborne’s table base kits. His base kit and legs were both made out of Knotty Pine. The leg style chosen was the Old World Dining Table Leg (Part #1122). Douglas also ordered 2 of our Urn Appliqués (Part #7610) in Paint grade. Douglas used his creative design to incorporate these appliqués on the apron of the table.

Here is what Douglas has to say about his beautiful design:

“Custom designed, built and faux finished table with intricate carvings, medallions and 24k gold leaf. Using parts from Osborne Wood Products along with other techniques, I created this antique style table using traditional milk paint and various other layering effects to give the look of a “found treasure.” A local marble shop created the ogee edged pink and red marble top in a honed finish. The client was quite pleased and it serves as a topic of conversation with their friends. I also designed and installed the banquette seating, custom window treatments and pillows.”
