Baron Trestle Bench Set Is Beautiful in Rubberwood

You would have to search pretty far to find a coffee table as lovely as this one sent in to us by Sally Hallen out in Port Ludlow, WA. She very cleverly decided to use our Baron Trestle Bench set, part 378864, as a coffee table base instead! What a great idea and we are so glad she shared it with us. Our Baron Trestle kit arrives unassembled in three different pieces, and assembly takes just a few minutes.

First the pedestal base is placed on top of the upside down pedestal center, aligning the attachment holes, and attaching the hardware is quick and easy. Flip the assembly over and place the pedestal top onto the center. Attach the hardware through the pre-drilled holes, tightening with the (provided) Allen wrench. Repeat for the other trestle base, and voila--you are done! Now the fun part of staining, painting or finishing to make your new base kit really shine.

This Baron Trestle kit is only available in rubberwood, which is moderately hard, having a similar density and weight to maple or ash. It offers durability similar to hardwoods. The grain has a straight texture that is somewhat open and coarse in appearance. Rubberwood is often used as a paint-grade wood, but it also stains beautifully. We just love the beautiful look of the rubberwood grain on this coffee table.
