New Way to Use Your Old Doors
Our customers keep getting more and more creative! our friend Morris sent over pictures of a recent table that he and his wife made using an old door that they had left over from a recent remodel. This awesome table is definitely something that you don’t see every day. Not only is this a great way to reuse something that you would normally just throw away, this door allowed Morris and his wife to add an extra detail to their table that a normal table top would not allow.
When Morris sent in these photos, he mentioned that his wife had been wanting a large, distressed farm table for their dining room “We had an extra door left over after a recent remodel so I decided to try turning it into one [a farm table] for her. I added panels on the side to make it wider and added a skirt all around made of poplar, I then painted the entire surface with white paint. My wife took some old keys and hot-glued them onto the surface and we ordered a piece of tempered glass to go on the top. Total cost was less than $400” How awesome is that? A gorgeous custom table at a not so custom cost.
Want to make a table like this of your own? Morris used the Husky Farm Dining Table Legs (Part #1121) to create this beautiful table. Want to use a different leg but still want the farmhouse style? Check out our entire collection of Dining Table Legs HERE.
