“We’ve been in this house for 23 years … it was time for a kitchen remodel. We converted it to a Tuscan style with natural materials and colors. I made the table in this simple, farm-style. The table is made of pecan, with Provincial stain and a tough varnish finish to stand up to the wear and tear a kitchen table should take as it serves the family. With the table slide, this table extends to 8′ to accommodate our large family during holiday celebrations. I created a hanging shelf from the stationary beam of the slide to house the two table leaves under the table! This not only protects the leaves, but saves space in the closet.”
