Island Legs Aren't Just for Islands!
If you thought that island legs were just for islands, check out these photos of a lovely kitchen table that uses Osborne's Four-Sided Tapered Kitchen Island Leg, part 1480. The photos are courtesy of Jay and Amanda Gambrell of Around the Table in Greenville, SC, who build many island-height tables requested by their discerning customers.
Island legs are about six inches taller than dining legs, and their use in Island-height tables is uber-popular right now! Not only do they give a pleasing sense of an elevated perspective while dining, but one of the most-mentioned advantages of elevated dining is the easy-in, easy-out convenience! Simply put, less effort is needed to sit down on a taller chair, but even better is that less effort is required to return to a standing position from a taller chair--it just works so much easier!
Osborne Wood Products carries a wide variety of island legs starting at 34 1/2″ tall. Our hand-crafted styles include traditional, reeded, twisted, contemporary and mission. These legs can be applied to a cabinet face or stand alone to support a countertop, peninsula, a raised table or a center kitchen island. Each wooden leg is sanded to 150 grit and unfinished.
