The first step to creating your dining table is to determine what base you would like. We have an expansive selection of dining table legs for you to choose from, including wood and metal options. We have round and square turnings, some with simple profiles and others that are adorned with ornate carvings. These legs range from 28” – 29 1/8” tall and have varying widths. With so many designs to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect complement to your home.
We also have a large selection of table pedestals for you to consider. We have large and small designs in an array of styles. Our wooden options include individual centers, pedestal feet and full pedestal base kits. There are also several metal designs available in our selection. Our pedestal sizes vary significantly and several will support dining table builds, depending on your specifications.
All of our wooden legs and bases are offered in multiple wood types so you can choose the one that is most suitable for your project. These wooden components will be sanded to 150 grit and ready to finish. Customizing the piece is simple when you can select a paint or stain grade option and finish the piece to be the exact color of your choice. We also offer various add-ons including custom hardware installation, milling requests, material selection, sanding options and more.
Step 2: Purchase Hardware & Table Apron
The next step is to attach your legs to the table apron (if your design calls for one). You can purchase several hardware options on our site to aid in the creation of your dining table. We have inserts, bolts, fasteners, levelers, corner blocks and much more to help increase the functionality of your design. These products also make it simpler for you to attach dining table legs to your apron and tabletop.
Need assistance creating your table apron? This process has been made simple with our custom table base kit builder. A majority of our wooden legs have the option to add on a table base kit that is produced specifically for the leg of your choice. We will even add mortise and tenon joinery as well as pocket holes to the components for convenience.
When you order a custom table base kit from us, you will receive the four legs of your choice, skirting materials, corner blocks and necessary attachment hardware. We offer various wood species but your table base kit must match the wood species selected for your table legs (if purchasing as a set). For a personalized touch, choose from six different edge styles for your apron boards. If you have other plans in mind, we also offer dimensional stock pieces that can be used to create your own apron design.
Step 3: Attach the Table Top
Depending on your build plans, you may need a round, square or rectangular table top. The top can be made of a wide range of materials including wood, metal, stone and more. The top you choose depends on the style you are trying to achieve (contemporary, traditional, farmhouse, etc.) Our dining table legs are sturdy enough to support virtually any tabletop and we offer multiple wooden options.
We have small and large table tops to choose from. Select a solid top with a roundover or thumbnail edge, or grab one of our rustic plank table kits. These DIY kits range in size to accommodate 2-8 people, are easy to put together and will enhance the look of your farmhouse or rustic space.
Once your tabletop is attached, your unfinished table is now complete! All you have to do is apply wood stain or paint (depending on the wood type you selected) to the exterior of the table for a custom finish. Our components can be assembled in an unlimited number of ways to create stunning dining tables that will last for generations.
