The Ogee Molding is a standard among designers and builders, as it has been for centuries. The ogee, which consists of a concave and a convex form, is truly a classic. The technical term for the ogee is cyma reversa. This form can be seen in antiquity. One only has to look back to ancient Persia to see its beginnings. The Tomb of Cyrus, as well as ancient Greek architecture featured the cyma reversa or ogee designs. At Osborne Wood Products we have this ogee molding in various species and lengths.
