All Table Slides are Sold as a Pair (one left, one right)
While our slides are built to be structurally sound, we do recommend using center support legs for extremely long or heavy tables.
The 40" standard equalizing slide is the perfect hybrid for your next table design! By combining the rack and pinion mechanism for the standard design, you are now able to create a long 5-legged table design. This slide is specifically designed to allow for a standard 4-legged table to be extended with a center support leg. The camber is specifically adjusted to support the center of your table for added support.
This table slide has an opening of 79", allowing ample space for leaves to be added to your table design. When fully extended, this table slide is 118 3/4". Make memories with the entire family gathering around a 5-legged table design that's you've created!
It is important to select the correct table slide:
- Standard table slides: A standard slide is designed for use on a 4 leg table, where the distance between the legs on each end of the table increases as the table is opened. A standard slide develops a camber to compensate for sagging in the center of the table.
- Equalizer table slides: Tabletops that are supported on a single pedestal require an equalizer slide that incorporates a rack and pinion system to ensure that the tops open and close easily while staying in balance. An equalizer slide is designed for use on a pedestal table, as it develops a camber to compensate for sagging at the ends of the table.

Used the slide on a table I built out of cherry and would suggest it to anyone needing a slide., if I was doing it over I would go with a thicker top, mine was just over 3/4" .
