In the search to find the perfect post for your kitchen island, consider the Narrow Farm Island Leg. Inspired by the shaker and country styles, this design is a simple, yet purposeful piece. Based on simplicity and functionality, farm style designs have been a symbol of quality for decades. Farm tables were built out of necessity as a place of gathering for families, and introduce a long tradition of hard work, dedication, and the importance of quality time. Today, dining room tables are not the other gathering place of families. As the kitchen has become a focal point and the heart of the home, many are opting to create large islands and bars to seat family and friends. This 34 1/2" tall, 3" wide leg is the perfect size for a kitchen island overhang, as well as for creating a free standing island. It is narrow enough that it will not overwhelm a small space but wide enough to provide plenty of support for your build. It adds a subtle feel of country farm with a purely classic design fills with simplistic carved beading, a rounded bun foot and a traditional top block for easy table apron or shelving attachment.
Create a custom look by selecting from several wood species and finishing to your preferences. Each of our wooden island legs are sanded to 150 grit and ready-to-finish. Whether you choose a stain or paint grade wood, the result will be stunning with this versatile piece! Quality excellent. Going to use the legs for a laundry table, legs and skirt stained dark brown with some antiquing, and top and shelf to be douglas fir with clear finish. This will match other pieces in the house.
