The V Stabilizer Groove Router Bit allows you to use a hand router and a jig to mill a V-groove into the underside of a table, counter top or other surface. You can then install one of our Recessed V Stabilizers to prevent wood warping, cupping, gapping and washboarding as the moisture changes over time. This bit has a 1/2" diameter. Please note: If you are using a 1/2" router, a collet will be needed to secure the bit.
To properly use this tool, you will need to create a jig that is the same length of the stabilizer bar you will be installing. Two passes with the hand router will be required to create the V-groove.
Per the manufacturer, the blades on the router bit can be sharpened up to three times.
