Twisted Island Leg Adapted to Stunning Pedestal
Sometimes a disappointment can turn into an unexpected surprise, which is what our friend Adam from Zion Crossroads, VA discovered. He ordered our Danville Wooden Twist Kitchen Island Leg, part 123558 for his kitchen island, but when it arrived, proved to be far too massive for the look he wanted. Adam loved the twisted design of the leg, and although it was too big for his island it could be converted into a unique pedestal for his sculpture.
Using scrap stone discs, he modified the leg into a pedestal by adding a small frame to widen the top and a tenon to the bottom of the leg. He then glued it all together to create a stunning pedestal for his artifact. What a creative use and unique look for an island leg. We love the look, Adam, thanks for making our products look so good!
