The Athens Bar Corbel with Basket Weave is 12 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. It has a depth of 8" allowing it to make a statement in any room. The intricately carved basket weave pattern can be paired with other components in our Basket Weave Collection for a stunning cohesive look. Whether you are upgrading your kitchen island or transforming your fireplace mantel, this corbel is guaranteed to give your build that "wow" factor. Choose from several wood types and customize it to match your decor by painting or staining it. This corbel has vertically-mounted keyhole openings on the back to make installation easy.
"I remember the first bar that I built for a client. It was a beautiful cherry piece that sat in front of a massive cabinet that looked as though it came straight off the set of Cheers. Well, let me tell you, at that time Osborne Wood Products did not carry corbels. So, I had to, in my own crude way, hand carve 11 corbels for that bar. Please understand what it takes to carve a corbel. You carve one side, then the other side. Then you have to carve and mold the front. Sounds easy, right? Well, it took me almost 3 weeks to make those corbels from start to finish. Oh, if I could have only picked up the phone and just placed an order.
