New Blogger :)

Well, Mary Beth will be off to college soon, so to prepare us all for her approaching departure, I was brought on board for blogging bliss (and, apparently, alliteration).

My name is Melody, and I have been working here at OWP a mere three and a half months! I work in Customer Service, so I am one of those smiling voices helping you all place your orders. I’m a little blog-obsessed (I have 2 or 3 of my own), so I was delighted when I was asked to take this over (though I’m still pretty bummed that it is because someone as cheerful and wonderful as Mary Beth is going somewhere other-than-here).

Let me tell you a little about myself: I moved down to the wonderful (warm) South from New England, so I am very definitely appreciating the opportunity to actually experience spring coming in March (instead of May)! I love working here at Osborne Wood Products, Inc. I get to try my hand at a lot of new things, like making a travel itinerary for Christian when he heads around the globe, or playing with Briwax (you’ll read about that later) to see how easy it is for an amateur to use it. On top of that, I’m learning a lot about woodworking, and what I do and do not like in furniture styles. Besides getting new experiences, it is amazing to work in a place where all my co-workers are so encouraging.

Well, it’s been fun, but now I need to answer the phones!
