Mission Corbels
Mission style is often characterized by bold edges and clean lines. Beginning in the early 16th century, this design was developed when Spain overthrew the Moors and built missions. These missions had an influence of Moorish architecture as they were overly simple and featured thick walls with few windows. Mission style has reemerged in modern day design as a way of not only displaying strength but also elevating furniture. Osborne Wood Products has expanded our collection to include decorative mission style components with a selection of mission corbels.
Our stunning wooden corbels are highly versatile and can be used to accentuate cabinetry, mantels, countertops, trim and more. Corbels not only provide support for overhangs, but also act as decorative elements that can tie a room together. We have developed various unique profiles influenced by the traditional mission style. Each of these have the stylish geometric recessed grooves along the edges of the corbel. You can choose from a simplistic design such as the Milan Mission Corbel, or an ornate option such as the Koi Legend Corbel with stunning hand carvings. Our collection includes corbels of every size and shape so you can pick the one that best suits your project.
Each corbel is available in a variety of wood types allowing for additional flexibility in design. They are sanded to 150 grit and unfinished so that you can apply paint or stain to the exterior. Pair one of these corbels with one of our mission island legs for a beautiful cohesive look in your kitchen, or utilize them as finishing touches within your living room or bedroom.
