What we used:

  • 3-Tier Pipe Shelf Kit
    • 2 shorter shelf boards

    • 1 longer shelf board

    • Necessary metal piping

    • Flanges

    • Necessary install hardware

Other items needed:

  • Drill

  • Paint or Stain

  • Level

  • Tape Measure

  • Stud finder

Steps:

Step 1

Apply finish to the shelf boards before assembly.

Step 2

Set the top and middle shelf to the side. Start by putting together the bottom shelf.

Step 3

Take one of the 10 ½” pipes and attach it to a curved corner pipe by twisting it into the left side of the 10 ½” pipe facing up.

Step 4

Twist to attach the T-connector pipe on the right side of the pipe. Utilize the middle hole of the T-connector when doing so.

Step 5

Take two 1 ⅜” pipes. Attach a bold head to one and a support connector to the other. Place them into the pre-drilled holes on your 13 ¾” wooden shelf. The bottom threads will attach to the piece made in step 4.

Step 6

Align the piece from step 4 with the pipes from step 5. The wooden shelf should be laying in between. Twist to tighten both sides to secure the shelf.

Step 7

Screw a 3 ½” pipe to the bottom of the T-connector on the right side of the shelf. On the left side of the pipe, attach a curved corner pipe facing the wall. Connect a 2 ⅛” pipe with a flange to the end of the curved corner pipe. This will mount on the wall later.

Step 8

Starting on the middle shelf, attach a 4 ⅞” pipe to the top of the support connector. Use a T-connector to attach a 12 ⅜” pipe. On the opposite end, place another T-connector, utilizing the middle hole.

Step 9

On the right side, we will create a wall attachment. Screw a 3 ½” pipe to the bottom of the T-connector. Attach a curved corner pipe facing the wall and connect a 2 ⅛” pipe with a flange on the end, which will mount on the wall later.

Step 10

Grab the 15 ¾” shelf and place a 1 ⅜” pipe into each pre-drilled hole with a support connector on top of each one to hold them in place. Align the shelf with the rest of the assembly and tighten the support connectors. Ensure the 1 ⅜” pipe is tightened on the bottom side.

Step 11

On the top left side of the shelf, twist on a 3 ½” pipe to the support connector. Attach a curved corner pipe facing the wall. Use a 2 ⅛” pipe with a flange on the end, which will be mounted on the wall.

Step 12

Moving to the top shelf, twist a 4 ⅞” pipe to the top of the support connector. On top of this pipe, use a T-connector to attach a 10 ½” pipe. Add a curved corner pipe to the other end.

Step 13

Grab the 13 ¾” wooden shelf and align the pre-drilled holes on top of the pipe assembly. Tighten the shelf by inserting a 1 ⅜” pipe into each pre-drilled hole.

Step 14

On the top left side, attach a support connector. On the top right side, use a bolt head. On the left side of the shelf, we will create the final wall attachment. Twist a 3 ½” pipe onto the top of the support connector. Attach a curved corner pipe facing the wall. Use a 2 ⅛” pipe with a flange on the end.

Step 15

Hold the completed shelf to the wall and make pencil marks in the pre-drilled holes on the flanges.

Step 16

Use these markings and drill holes into the wall.

Step 17

Use a mallet or hammer to insert a screw anchor into each of the holes.

Step 18

Align the shelving to the wall and install using the 1 5/16” screws through each hole on the disk plate.

Step 19

It is complete! This shelf can be mounted parallel to the wall or in the corner of a room by rotating the top or bottom shelf in a 90° angle.
