Osborne's Mission Style Corbels Support 17th Century French Shelf
Our customer Aaron Celio was thrilled to finally complete his project of mounting a 17th Century French shelf above this grand doorway. It may be a bit dark to distinguish the details in the photo above, but the delicately carved details on the shelf are nicely accented and supported by Osborne’s Arts and Crafts Bar Corbel (Part #891942). The rich, dark stain blends the corbels and shelf into a uniform look, that appears to have been built hundreds of years ago!
The uncluttered and simple lines of an Arts and Crafts corbel can add just the right amount of detail to a project. This Arts and Crafts corbel is a type of Mission Corbel, developed with the Spanish origins of the Mission style in mind. A corbel in this line reflects a simple minimalist style, which can be at home in in a rustic cabin-like design, or even a French ornate style as featured in this photo.
