Pedestal Table kit Looks Light and Airy

We love this beautiful pedestal table that our friend John at DIB Woodworking fabricated with our Transitional Pedestal Base Kit (Part #1175). The base is soft maple, beautifully painted in a gleaming off-white finish, using two primer coats and 2 coats of milk paint. John painted the pieces individually before assembling for easy access to all sides of each piece. Everyone loves sitting at a pedestal table, where there are no blockages for knees and legs from the four legs that you find on standard tables. Without all the legs, pedestal tables are airy, and circular, providing maximum tabletop room. And circular tables simply add a splash of chic to any room.

Rather than using a table slide to raise the height of the pedestal base to dining height, John constructed an ingenious support frame for the table top, that attached to the pedestal on all 4 sides at the top.
