Contemporary Granite Table Supported by Osborne Tapered Legs

At Osborne Wood Products we are often asked the question as to whether our table legs will support granite. Rest assured! All of our legs are designed to be load bearing, allowing you both ample support and extraordinary design. Typically for heavy projects (such as granite) we do recommend a table base kit that will seamlessly attach your table legs to the table top (screws for attaching the top are not included due to varying sizes required depending on design). Our table base kits are created with mortise and tenon joinery for a solid and secure hold. To fix your top, we recommend applying a plywood piece to the bottom of your table top surface. This allows you to drill through the pocket holes of your apron into the plywood without damaging the top; a seamless solution!

Today, I’d like to feature a beautiful granite dining table submitted by Clyde of North Park Woodcraft in New York. For this table, Clyde chose to use the Four Sided Tapered Dining Table Leg (Part #1180). These tapered legs offer a contemporary appeal to the table, while also giving the design ample support. The legs are finished to match the table apron in a beautiful cherry hue. As you can see, the table turned out beautifully.
