House of Wood Hallway Table

Kitchen Island Posts & Vanity LegsGalleryHow To

There are dozens of free and easily customizable DIY furniture builds online; and many of them on our blog too! Our friend Tom followed a tutorial from one of our blogger partners to make his first ever table, then sent us the finished picture.

He used the Addicted to DIY tutorial and Osborne’s House of Wood Island Posts (part #2482) to make the narrow hallway table. Tom modified the measurements on the tutorial to customize the project and create a better fit for his particular room, but kept the sleek traditional style of the table the same. He ordered the legs in a soft maple wood type, which provided a smooth and even surface for the pale blue Behr Agave paint he used on the project. The House of Wood island legs themselves use a two sided taper on a straight square leg to create a contemporary take on a conventional style. It has both mission/shaker and arts and crafts style elements, making it an incredibly versatile piece! Tom summed up his project and interactions with Osborne with the simple and straightforward quote: “All around great experience”. And with a great experience comes a great final project!

The House of Wood leg also comes in a dining table height; which is perfect for a new, classic desk kitchen table or office desk!
