Osborne Supports Employee Health
On September 15th, Osborne Wood Products held a company-wide meeting to discuss open enrollment and insurance benefits available to all full-time employees. Leon Osborne, CEO of Osborne, spoke briefly during the meeting explaining the importance of the insurance and other wellness benefits available through Osborne. Michael Benner, VP of Employee Benefits with Risk Strategies, also presented at the meeting. He explained the full insurance package available to employees and welcomed any questions they may have going into the open enrollment period.
Management at Osborne continuously works to support employee health and connect employees with health professionals. Around 14 years ago, Osborne was one of the first companies in the region to begin offering a wellness program. This program not only allows employees to improve their health with quarterly check-ins, but it also helps them save money on their insurance. Discounts on insurance co-pays are available if the employee is active in the program. The company also built a large fitness center on site that is available 24/7 to employees. This facility includes a basketball court, racquetball court, weightlifting room and cardio room. Improvements are continuously made to the facility to ensure it is as effective as possible in supporting employee health. Earlier in 2022, a Tonal system was added to the cardio room giving employees additional methods of achieving their fitness goals. This all-in-one system provides strength and fitness training options as well as personalized workout plans.
