Osborne Wood Products Welcomes New Associates

Toccoa, GA – Osborne Wood Products has welcomed two additional interns for the summer and one full-time associate.

Mackenzie Murley is assisting on a special project for our production team. Christopher Doud and Evan Lord are assisting with the shipping department.

Mackenzie Murley is observing key elements of Osborne’s production processes. She is assisting Production Manager, Jonathan Osborne, to determine areas that consumes excessive time. Through defining these key processes, she will work with IT and drafting to develop correct measurements for lead times. By determining the correct lead times for products, Osborne Wood Products will be able to audit internal systems for accuracy. Osborne is excited to have Murley join the team to assist in refining the processes that can be improved upon and audited for preciseness.

The auditing process that Murley is assisting with is in alignment with recent Lean Management initiative that Osborne Wood Products has implemented. Lean Management focuses on communication, scheduling, and productivity.

Christopher Doud and Evan Lord are assisting the shipping and receiving department. They will be supporting the team by helping manage inventory, distribute packages daily, and receive deliveries. Nathan Shurtz, Shipping Supervisor, had this to say about the newest employees. “They will be servicing Osborne Wood Products customers with a high same day shipping success while continuing a fast-paced workload in the receiving area. This includes inventory cycles, inspections, custom millwork, relocating of products and much more.”
