The Extended Massive Concord Kitchen Island Leg is one of the largest variations of one of our most popular profiles. The design presents a feeling of simplistic country tradition but it has a complexity to it that makes it quite impressive. The 40 1/2" tall post begins with a 9 1/2" top block. This substantial square can be used to support table base kits, drawers or shelving. The block sits atop a single turned ring which transitions to a slightly tapered round center. Additional rings adorn the bottom of the central shaft and are separated from the base by a 4 1/8" stretcher block. This block not only adds visual interest but creates additional design opportunities as it can support railing, shelving and more. The base of the leg features just the right amount of additional detailing with a short series of narrowing turns.
This elegant and traditional island leg is offered in a variety of wood species, including stain and paint grade options. It will be sanded to 150 grit and ready-to-finish. This makes it easy for you to customize the leg according to your stylistic preferences. This piece boasts an impressive 5" width, but we offer this profile in as narrow as the Extended Concord Kitchen Island Leg (Part #1571) which has a 3 1/2" width.
