Our friends at Maison de Mings in Raleigh, IL, ordered 4 of our Traditional Fluted Dining Table Legs (Part #1112), and dressed up the top blocks with 8 of our Petite Acanthus Leaf Corbels (Part #892020). What a pleasing combination of legs and corbels to adorn any kitchen! The tiny corbels are attached to the outside faces of the top blocks of the table legs, and instantly transform the island from interesting to high style!
You may be asking how the extra 5.5 inches of height is achieved when using 29″ tall legs to create a 34.5″ tall island. Notice that there is a 1″ thick shelf at the bottom of the island, and supporting the shelf are 4 cabinet feet that are 4.5″ tall, in a style that complements the profile of the table legs. When you do the math, 29 + 1 + 4.5 = 34.5 inches in height.
