Modern beds with ultra-deep mattresses are quite a bit taller these days than other beds. The average bed height is 25″, but many taller mattresses are raising the height of beds to 28 – 30″ tall. For a nightstand to remain level with the top of mattresses, many are solving that problem by using dining table legs to make their perfect-height nightstands.
