Stunning Coffee Table With 300-Year Old Re-Purposed Wood
Our friend James Annino up in Connecticut shared with us his latest project using Osborne’s Richland Coffee Table Legs (Part #1306). He found some beautiful wood from a 300-year old house that was being renovated in Essex, Connecticut. He had to remove quite a bit of dirt and grime, but used a wheel sander with a nylon brush that did the trick. The patina on the boards really came through after several coats of wax followed by buffing.
James used our table base kit to build his creation, adding sturdy H-Bracing between the end legs for an updated look. The lovely white-painted coffee table legs look very elegant against the rich wood grain of the recycled top. Notice the beautiful slightly-distressed wood top that gives the piece so much character.
This is the third project James made with our table legs, and each project used a different style of leg for a different application. James says, “I would never have been able to turn such beautiful legs . . . I can’t say enough wonderful things about Osborne, the products and customer service and follow up after shipping are the gold standard of excellence!” We appreciate this high praise James, and are happy to have had a part in this project that shows your great craftsmanship!”
