100% Cherry Table from Kirchhoff Tables

Our friend Seth at Kirchhoff Tables never fails to amaze us with his stunning furniture designs. Seth recently created a table made of 100% natural cherry hardwood. The table began as a display table at a local art show, but soon moved to the home of a family who fell in love with the design.

Here’s what Seth told us about the table: “The table is a simple farm table in Cherry that was used in a Kansas City art show as a display piece. It now resides on a spacious front porch for outdoor dining.”

Seth chose the Osborne Colonial Dining Table Leg (Part #1001) for this project. The legs flawlessly complemented the rest of the design.

Here’s more on the table: “This 100% Cherry Farm Table is 6’x30″. It sits on a front/side porch just off the kitchen – perfect for breakfast and morning coffee! The wood on the completed table was left raw out in the elements for several months to darken and age before a coat of Boiled Linseed Oil was added to the top to bring out the depth and warmth of the Cherry wood. The table base is constructed using draw-bore mortise and tenon joinery. The top is comprised of three wide planks with pinned breadboard ends.”
