A Family Treasure
Our customers are some of the most creative and talented people we know. Some are professionals in the woodworking trade, and their work is an art. Others are just starting out, trying their hand at creating a piece for their home; a family treasure. This week our friend Joey shared a project that he has spent the last month working on and we wanted to share it with you.
Joey considers himself to be a beginner and wanted to create a family table and bench set. He ordered the legs for the table and bench and created the tops and skirting. Between work and family, Joey had to take his time with this project. The finishing work on the table is lovely. This table is stunning, and as a special touch, Joey’s wife suggested that they paint their hand prints and their kids’ hand prints under the table.
Thank you, Joey, for letting us be a part of this lovely creation. We are honored to have had a part in this family treasure. Creating a family table gives you a functional and lovely piece of furniture, but it also creates family memories. The whole family got to have a hand in the creation of this table!
If you are thinking about creating your own table and bench, the legs Joey used are the Transitional Country Dining Table Leg (Part #1111) in Knotty Pine and the Country Bench Leg (Part #1329) in Knotty Pine. Joey created his own skirt support for the table in this project and it turned out great. If you aren’t sure about framing the skirt on your table, let us know. We would love to get you set up with a skirt kit to ensure that your table is a part of your family for generations.
