One of our coastal-inspired designs is the Extended Tybee Kitchen Island Leg. This 40 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" wide piece is perfect for kitchen islands but can be used in many other projects such as bar height counters and tall table designs. This leg features a 9" top block allowing it to be attached to shelving, table skirts and more. The rest of the leg features comforting beads, finishing with a tapered bun foot at the base. With so many wood species and custom services to choose from, there are endless possibilities with this island leg.

"When most folks think of Tybee Island, they think of its old historic lighthouse. The thing that I enjoy most, however, is the old fort. The museum there has some of the most unusual seafaring artifacts that can be found in the United States today. As I was meandering through the halls, looking into the 18th century version of the war room, I was noticing a generals map stand. It was taller than the usual table and had the most beautiful legs stemming from its slanted top. It seemed almost out of place-almost like it had been brought from an office in downtown Savannah. I began to wonder what this might have actually started life as. As I stared at the marvelous piece, I deduced that the table was, perhaps, the draftsmans table of a wealthy plantation owner. I used the project in an island cabinet build. Definitely recommend if you want to offer a lot of selections to customers. The quality was wonderful and would use again.
