True to its name, the Grand Harvest Kitchen Island Leg truly makes a grand and elegant statement! It is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with a 4" width that offers structure. The island post features a large top block that is not only ideal for attaching a table apron but also can be used for shelving, cabinetry and drawers. This top block is followed by sophisticated round turnings and a tapered center that ends with a flat round sitting atop the stretcher block. This stretcher block is perfect for adding an extra storage shelf or railing. The leg is completed with a classy bun foot at the base.
The stunning grace and beauty of this island leg caught the eye of Nina Hendrick at Everyday Enchanting Blog. This island post was featured in a free standing kitchen island build which has a free DIY tutorial for you to check out and begin your own project! You can customize your design easily by choosing from a wide range of wood species and adding your choice of wood stain or paint to the exterior. Each wooden leg is sanded to 150 grit making finishing easy!

We used the legs on an island that we made out of character grade white oak. We stained and clear coated the legs with a 20 sheen clear conversion varnish. The legs and the island blended right in. The sanding on the legs was really nice too. There were no cross grain scratches on the legs at all.
