Are you looking for a unique piece that will make your island stand out? Do you have a large island design that requires a little extra support and stability? If you are looking for an island leg that is turned from a 6" stock, has character all its own, and is designed with classic style in mind but can easily be used in a contemporary space, the Massive Rope Island Post may be exactly what you have been looking for!
This sturdy and sustainable wooden leg features a staple of fine wood turning: roped millwork. The 35" tall profile features a large 9 1/2" top block followed by a gentle round taper. The tapered section of the leg exhibits beautiful rope detailing that adds unique character and dimension to the piece. The design is complete with a dainty round bun-like foot at the base.
We offer various components with the rope style, including the complementary Tapered Rope Dining Table Leg (Part #1153). Both of these wooden legs are offered in numerous wood species and will be sanded to 150 grit. They are left unfinished giving you the creative freedom to customize the piece according to your design specifications. With so many wood types and finishing options, the possibilities are endless!

Beautiful craftsmanship.

Great looking island legs. The Black Walnut is great looking material - very little work needed to prepare for finish. Using an oil finish because we desire a natural look to go with the rest of the island. Also using 2 half posts at the range.
