Though Verona, Italy is known for its Opera House, The Arena, and of course Juliet's Balcony, the spirit of the city and its surrounding countryside lies in its countless vineyards. The Veneto region of Italy produces more wine than any other region of Italy, and takes great pride for its quality and quantity of grapes. Because of its hilly topography and ideal climate, it is thought that the Verona area has been growing grapes for millennia. Veneto even created the first Italian school for vine growing called Conegliano. Though most vineyards grow the classic variety of grapes such as Prosecco, Cabernet, or Verduzzo; many other growers will experiment with Pinot, Chardonnay or others, making a plethora of unique wine tasting tours available. One does not have to walk far out from the city walls of Verona to experience the pride of this region growing on a vine. Embodying the spirit of Verona, The Verona Corbel displays three grape clusters surrounded with lush leaves. It pairs well with other components in our Vineyard Collection, including mouldings and table legs.
This corbel has vertically-mounted keyhole openings on the back to make installation easy.
