Custom Bookcases Feature Osborne Furniture Feet

Sometimes the project at hand is a little outside the box. Perhaps the shape or size is just outside the “stock” range. Maybe an exotic or rare wood type is sough after. But rest assured! Today I would like to feature a project that is a true hand crafted custom job. The design today consists of three different bookcases built to match and compliment not only one another, but the home they would soon be a part of. Gary T. sent us these beautiful photos of the three bookcases. The cases sit in an octagon shaped space, making each a one of a kind piece. Gary also had the challenge of designing the cases to fit around an existing window. As you can see the final result is flawless!

Gary chose to accent his bookcases with furniture feet from Osborne. The design called for something classic and detailed, yet simple enough to keep from overstating the beauty of the shelving. Gary found the Acanthus leaf Ogee feet, and was able to use both the Corner Acanthus Leaf Ogee Foot (Part #4320) and Center Acanthus Ogee Foot (Part #4323) for his design. The intricate hand carved detailing of the Acanthus leaf motif added such texture to the design. The feet were finished for a flawless match, and the project was complete.
