The Corner Acanthus Leaf Ogee Foot is a dressier version of the traditional Corner Colonial Ogee Foot (Part #4300). The beautifully hand carved acanthus motif that adorns the piece makes it a popular method of adding decorative interest and style to cabinetwork where the outside corners are in full view. It can also be used on the edges of furniture (such as dressers and bookshelves) to give them extra dimension and height. This foot has a symmetrical design with a 4 1/2" height and 7 1/2" long sides. It boasts multiple convex and concave curves, as well as scroll-like detailing emphasizing the unique profile.
Large designs can benefit from matching this stylish piece with the complementary Center Acanthus Ogee Foot (Part #4323). Both feature the same carved detailings and are customizable by choosing a wood species and finishing according to your preferences.

I am using the corner pieces to replace some poorly made legs. The new corner pieces are going on a cedar chest that was made out of solid cedar and was made well but was inexpensive as far as a poor finish and cheap hardware. I have refinished the exterior by getting back to natural wood, stained only with linseed oil, and replaced cheap handles with drawer pulls that are designed to look like acanthus leaf. Thanks to the corner pieces I now have a beautiful new chest that could be an heirloom.
The quality of your product is excellent, well made, the red oak is easy to work with and takes stain well. So any one in the new or refinishing business or a "do it yourselver" could use your product.
