Free Standing Kitchen Island Design features Osborne Island Posts

Island legs can also be used for decorative application. Half legs can be applied to cabinetry to give the appearance of high-end furniture. Today I would like to feature the latter of the applications for kitchen island posts: the free standing island. Kim D. recently sent us this photo of her stunning new kitchen island. Kim’s husband, Adam, built this beautiful piece for their home. Kim chose the Islander Island Leg (Part #1750) for the project. The island features a stunning dark natural wood top. A matching bottom shelf was also added for additional functional space. The island posts, along with the top and bottom apron boards, were finished white. The white finish adds a stunning contrast, really bringing the natural wood to the forefront. Amazing work!
