Builder's Studio: Two-Legged Table

Tim is back in the Builder's Studio and is demonstrating the assembly and installation of a two-legged table. This build utilized our Country Dining Table Legs (Part #303463), Dentil Moulding (Part #891667) and a custom table base kit from Osborne. Please note that the option to have one of our mouldings incorporated into your table apron will not be seen on the standard form but can be requested by filling out a custom quote inquiry or speaking with one of our customer service representatives.

This stylish two-legged table is useful if you are needing extra counter space but do not have the room for a traditional table design. It can be used in walkways and hallways adding dimension and functionality to the space. It attaches directly to the wall creating a seamless transition from the wall to the table top.

Assembly Instructions

Overall Dimensions: 68” x 16” x 30”

Materials Used:

Tools Needed:

  • Wood glue (optional)

  • Drill

  • Screws

  • Wrench

Instructions:

  1. If ordering a table base kit from Osborne, all skirt boards will already have pocket holes, mortise and tenons. You can also request moulding to be added to the base of the skirting like we did in this build.

  2. Next, apply a small amount of glue inside your mortise on the legs (optional) and insert your skirt boards. Screw in your skirt boards.

  3. Using the pocket holes, screw your back board to the insides of your side skirt boards, ensuring that your boards are flush.

  4. Next, turn your piece upside down onto the bottom of your table top. Make sure that the back skirt board is flush with the back of your table top.

  5. Secure everything together with screws in the pocket holes.

  6. Next, using a wrench and drill, take your corner blocks and attach them to the corners of your table legs and skirts with the provided hardware.
  7. Finally, screw your two legged table against a wall or the location of your choosing, making sure you hit a stud in at least one location.
