Assembly Instructions

Overall Dimensions:

Table: 70” x 30” x 30 11/16”

Bench: 64” x 16” x 18”

Materials Used:

Tools Needed:

  • Table top & bench tops

  • Drill and two-stage drill bit

  • Screws

  • Ruler/tape measure

  • Writing utensil

Instructions:

  1. Take the bases out of their boxes and assemble them.
  2. Instructions are included for assembly. Attachment hardware is included.

  3. Once you have your bases assembled, decide how you would like to attach them to your table top.
    1. There are several attachment options such as pre-drilling from the table top into the top of the bases and plugging the holes. We decided to use what is referred to as a “sub top” or “cleat”.

  4. Be aware of the thickness of the sub top (cleat) - this will affect the overall table height.

  5. Using a two stage drill bit, pre-drill holes in the top of your sub top. We added six holes (three on each side).

  6. Next, flip over your sub top and pre-drill holes that will go into your table top. We added eight (four on each side).

  7. Now, attach your sub tops to your trestle table bases using the pre-drilled holes.
    1. We used a longer screw for this attachment, 1 3/4”, but you can use whatever works best for your project.

  8. Place your tabletop upside down and place the trestle bases on the bottom of your table top. Step back and make adjustments to the placement until you are happy with the appearance. Ours ended up being 9” from the edge.
  9. Finally, screw down your table bases to your table top. Complete the exact same steps for your bench(es) and apply finish!
