Our Breadboard Table Slides are a wonderful solution to expanding your table. If you are looking to create breadboard end extensions on your table rather than extending the entire piece, this is the product for you. This set of four slides includes two pairs. Each pair is used to extend one end of your table. There will be a left and right slide included in each pair. Please refer to the diagrams below to see how these slides would attach to your table.
Please note that there is 4" of length available at the end of the slides for attaching the end board. Although a 6" breadboard with 2" overhang is standard, you can attach a board up to 8" long (with a maximum of 4" overhang), but any longer will have a risk of sag.
These wooden slides are durable and will allow you to easily accommodate additional seating for your next event. When extended, the slides will create a maximum opening of 16". We recommend that the slides be opened at least 1/4" or 1/2" when installed and to consider any alignment pins or other hardware that may require additional room. Given these considerations, you can use a leaf with any width up to around 15", but 12" is the most common.
Each slide piece is 2 3/8" wide and 30" long. The only change I would make to the product is to eliminate the pre-drilled holes on the breadboard extension. In my case I will need to pocket hole that extension into the table apron and bolt it to the table legs.
