September 22, 2023 - Osborne Wood Products, Inc. appreciated the opportunity to welcome the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA) to their facility for a plant tour on Thursday, September 21. The GMA members were able to learn more about the day-to-day operations of Osborne on this educational tour experience.
The group was particularly interested in seeing the production machinery including solutions for mass customization and newly implemented woodworking technologies.
Several Osborne employees were able to participate in the tour including members of the marketing, shipping and production departments. Plant Manager Jason Hubble led the group through the facility.
“Leading a tour through our production and shipping facility was a great honor. The tour group was engaged and excited and provided amazing feedback,” stated Hubble. “This experience prompted me to reflect on how incredibly proud I am of what our team has been able to accomplish over many years of incremental improvement. We have a great team!”
At the end of the tour, Jason Moss, founder of the GMA, presented the Osborne team with a recognition for being part of their educational tour series.
According to their website, GMA is a “membership based industry organization for manufacturers and suppliers founded in 2008 with the mission to support Georgia’s manufacturing community.” They offer this support by conducting tours, networking and providing educational training to their members.
